Karole McCray earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Administration with a minor in Criminal Justice from Florida International University, in North Miami, Florida, and an IT degree in Information Systems Security from ITT Technical University in Greenville, SC.
Karole has over 20 years of experience working with children, family, and the geriatric populations. She began her career working at a homeless shelter for men as a case manager in Miami, Florida. She then moved to Greenville, SC and worked with children and families in the foster care system, and then worked with children and families in the behavioral health system. Later in her career, she moved into the field of eldercare. This involves home visits to 80 homebound clients which include an assessment on the activities of daily living (ADL’s) & instrumental activities of daily living (IADL’s) of our elder population.
Karole developed a strong sense of devotion for case management over the years so she decided to step out in faith and opened her own case management company Help Is On The Way as a provider for the state of South Carolina for the past 5 years, where she continues to serve disabled people and the elder population statewide.
Karole believes in working in partnership with clients to utilize their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. She also realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being including their physical health, and support systems (family, friends, etc.).
Karole enjoys long walks with her 11-year-old Siberian Husky, King. She also enjoys hiking, cycling, running, and swimming.
